today I’m rolling out a new release of Kwort Linux. This will be our first release candidate for version 3.2. There’s nothing new that you should be aware of if you already know the system. This is just an upgrade of almost every software included in Kwort 3.14 but perhaps the most noticeable changes are the move from OpenOffice.org to LibreOffice, a new shinny 3.0 kernel series, Firefox 7.0.1 and the latest version of Chromium. Also, a complete PyGTK stack is available in the mirror so Python programmers (and users) can enjoy tons of Python applications. There are tons of improvements under the hood, like the inclusion of LVM2 and mdadm for logical volume management and raid support, and ext4 file system supported in the installation.
